La primavera
An allegorical composition of Rococo inspiration in which five female figures — some semi-nude, others veiled — gather among flowers and foliage beneath a canopy of trees. The work evokes the conventions of eighteenth-century cabinet painting as adapted to the academicist taste of the twentieth century.
